National and state highways link Hyderabad to the rest of the country. It’s easy to reach the city by public or private transport. Hyderabad is well-connected to all parts of Telangana state and other parts of South and Western India. The state government and private bus operators run many luxury and ordinary bus services across the state and neighbouring states.
While luxury buses include Volvo, Mercedes, and other air-conditioned, multi-axle, sleeper/semi-sleeper buses to Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai, the regular buses are non A/C buses that connect towns and non-metropolitan cities. Mahatma Gandhi Bus Terminus (Imlibun), and Jubilee Bus station in Secunderabad are the major bus stations for state-run buses. Major pick-up points for private buses include Kukatpally, Ameerpet, Panjagutta, Lakdi-Ka-Pool, Paradise centre-Secunderabad and Dilsukhnagar.
